Product Description

Celotex XR4000 is an easy to install polyisocyanurate (PIR) insulation board with thermal performance, featuring a low emissivity foil facing. Available in thicknesses from 110mm to 200mm, it can be considered for roof, wall and floor applications.

Celotex XR4000 is a rigid polyisocyanurate (PIR) thermal insulation board with low emissivity aluminium composite foil facings on both sides. Supplied as a 2400 x 1200 mm board with straight edges and thicknesses from 110 mm to 200 mm, it can be considered for roof, wall and floor applications where good thermal performance is required.

With a declared thermal conductivity of 0.022 W/m·K and high thermal resistance values, Celotex XR4000 helps to achieve target U-values without the need to double up insulation layers. The product is BBA certified for defined pitched roof, dry lining, timber frame and floor applications and is manufactured under independently monitored quality and environmental management systems in line with EN ISO 9001 and EN ISO 14001.

  • Lightweight 2400 x 1200 mm PIR insulation boards.
  • Low emissivity foil facings on both sides.
  • Declared thermal conductivity 0.022 W/m·K.
  • BBA certified for defined roof, wall and floor applications.

Typical applications

Pitched roofs (between rafters, between and under rafters, between and over rafters, loft insulation, pitched roof sarking); Flat roofs (balconies and terraces, between and under joists); External walls (timber frame walls); Ground floors (beam and block floors, concrete slab ground floors, upgrading existing concrete slabs, suspended timber floors).

Key considerations

When using Celotex XR4000, you need to satisfy yourself that use of the product meets all relevant national Building Regulations and guidance as well as local, national and other applicable standards relevant for your construction or application, including requirements in relation to fire and applicable height restrictions. Celotex XR4000 should not be used in the external walls of buildings over 11 metres in height. Recent changes to Building Regulations mean that only non-combustible insulation or insulation of limited combustibility should be used in buildings of that height. Always refer to the product datasheet, Declaration of Performance, safety data sheet and BBA certificates for details of permitted applications, performance characteristics and any specific restrictions.
