Celotex PL4000 is an easy to install polyisocyanurate (PIR) insulation board with a paper facing, laminated to a piece of 12.5mm tapered edge plasterboard. Available in thicknesses from 25mm to 65mm (insulation only), it can be considered for use in roof and internal wall lining applications.

Celotex PL4000 is a rigid polyisocyanurate (PIR) insulated plasterboard thermal laminate. It combines a PIR foam insulation board with a paper facing and a 12.5 mm tapered edge plasterboard, creating a 2-in-1 product that provides both thermal insulation and an internal lining. Standard boards are 2400 x 1200 mm and are suitable for a range of roof and internal wall lining applications.

With a declared thermal conductivity of 0.022 W/m·K and insulation thicknesses from 25 mm to 65 mm, Celotex PL4000 offers good thermal performance to help achieve target U-values while helping to keep build-ups relatively slim. Typical applications

Roof and internal wall lining applications, including internal lining to solid masonry walls, upgrading existing cavity walls from the inside, and lining pitched or flat roofs on the room side of the construction.

Key considerations

When using Celotex PL4000, you must ensure that the proposed use complies with all relevant national Building Regulations and guidance, including requirements for fire performance and any applicable height restrictions. Celotex PL4000 should not be used in the external walls of buildings over 11 metres in height, where current regulations require non-combustible or limited-combustibility insulation.
